Lars Mikkelsen

Lars MikkelsenAt the age of 27, he entered the National Theatre School of Denmark. He graduated in 1994. He also appeared on The Killing, a drama series that was aired across the globe. He was later featured in Those Who Kill II and Borgen III, two other highly acclaimed Danish dramas. He also had the lead role in Sherlock the show, an BBC drama in which he played the role of Charles Augustus Magnussen, whose blackmailer. In the American television show House of Cards, he was the role of President Russia. He won an International Emmy Award for 2018 for his part on the Danish television drama Herrens Veje. It was broadcast in the UK in 2019 under the title Ride Upon the Storm. Mikkelsen is proficient in English, Swedish and German. He is also able to speak multiple accents. According to Mikkelsen's testimony that he and his younger brother learned English through Monty Python records.
