Leona LaurenLeona Louise Lewis (born 3 April 1985) is a British performer, songwriter as well as an actress and activist. As per the Official Charts Company, Spirit is the top-selling debut album of an artist of female origin during the 21st century. "Bleeding Love", the lead single from Spirit, remained No. 1 on the charts in the UK for seven weeks. It was also the top-selling UK single. The single was the top-selling during 2008, as well. Lewis was awarded the Billboard Award for the Most Popular New Artist. Echo was her second studio album. Lewis also composed the hit song "I Love You" on behalf of Avatar. Lewis has also released "Collide," a joint effort together with Swedish DJ Avicii. In 2011 , she also dropped Hurt The Extended Play of her debut EP. The third album she released, Glassheart (2012), represented a fresh direction in music for Lewis who draws inspiration from dubstep and electronic music. In the course of her Glassheart Tour in 2013, she began recording material for her first Christmas album. Following that, her album Christmas with Love, which featured her lead single "One more night", reached number three within the UK. This chart position made Lewis to be the first British single female singer to achieve the top 5 spots, having eight songs. Lewis also surpasses Olivia Newton John's record of seven.
