Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actor. She was awarded the British Academy Television Award Best actress for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. She is fluent in French, German English, as well as Romanian. Her mother played the violin and her father is a theater professor in one of Romania's top theater schools. The Youth Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. It was the European Film Promotion Board named her an European Shooting Star in 2008. The actress was a professor of the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu. bAnamaria Marina is an Romanian actress born at Iasi Romania on 1 April 1978. An actress from Romanian descendance, Anamaria Marinca made her debut in film with the British-Canadian TV film Sex Traffic for which she received the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. Aside from her brilliant performance in Sex Traffic, Anamaria Marinca is best remembered for the role she played in the Romanian artist-directed film 4 Months 3 Weeks 2, Days. This film won several awards, including the European Film Award Best Actress from the British Film Critics. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 saptamani si 2 zile (4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 days) by Cristian Mungiu. The film received the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also part of her career. In 2008, she appeared as Yasim in Angwar, the BBC miniseries of five episodes The Last Enemy. Marinca played the role of Yasim Anwar as part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, in addition to the Romanian drama Boogie. Later she as Irma's German Aunt in Fury that was released in 2014.
