Antonia Lofaso

Chef Antonia Lofaso's culinary creations are an invitation to dive into deeper into the depths of her inner world. She developed a curiousity about food and cooking after moving from suburbs of Long Island to the diverse cultures in Los Angeles. Cavatelli and Carnitas can be found to coexist in harmony on the menu, an idea that has developed through many years. But what remains is her distinctive view of the future, while looking back to the past. Scopa Italian Roots is a restaurant that was founded by Lofaso in 2013. She opened it because of her Italian-American background. Lofaso has received praise by her fans for her rendition of traditional Italian food. Lofaso has been praised by many as a local favourite that serves up meals that are delicious, authentic and warm. Lofaso was an apprentice to culinary masters, absorbing their techniques as well as taking risks. She never hesitated in doing so, merely following her instincts. She was in close contact with many celebrities and rose rapidly through the ranks in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. In 2011, Lofaso partnered along with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to debut Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. In Black Market and the business collaborations she set up, she found a home. Lofaso was able to finally experience the creative freedom she wanted. Black Market doesn't have one distinct orientation. That is their intention. A meal could start with chipped potatoes and peppers with some dill. This could be followed by Korean meatballs and wings. Antonia is the linchpin of this dazzling array. Lofaso assessed her success in the field based on her ability to understand and remain authentic to her audiences. Her memorable performance in Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars celebrated her uniqueness outside of the kitchen. Her talents remain in the spotlight of the camera, as an expert Judge on the CNBC's Restaurant Startup and in regular roles on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child as well as ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso worked with Penguin for the release of The Busy Mom's Cookbook - 100 Recipes For quick Delicious homemade Meals in the year 2012. This cookbook also tells the story of her struggle as a mother of Xea as well as her studies at The French Culinary Institute. Lofaso insists that the drive that drives her success is rooted in the kitchen, and it's in this way that she has a to keep her finger on the pulse. Chefletics has revolutionized chef attire by combining style and function. What is important to Lofaso is staying true to your ideals. To achieve this goal, she has launched Antonia Lofaso Catering, which is a more personalised method of providing customers with a distinctly personal experience.
